Opening
The meeting of The Washington County Commission for Women was called to order on Zoom
and in person at 6:15 pm on 6/8/22

Previous meeting’s minutes were approved
Old Business
1.Thank you to Mary Hendrickson for helping us to make 100 Women’s History of
Washington County Books available at Hagerstown Community College.
2.Discussed the plan to use the 2022 budget to pay for videography for the “35 women for
35th anniversary”. All initial videographers are over budget. “Without Walls Media”
agreed to do the video for $1400 overseeing his production assistant. Monika Wertman
from Wertman Photography can do it for $1400. She will do a group photo of all women
but hand select 10 women to do deeper stories on. 3-4 hr indoor shoot in MD theater.
Unanimous vote to move forward with Monika Wertman.
New Business
1.New commissioners interviews with: Laurie Chrzanowski, Cherie McCord, Teresa Peek
and Nitzalis Rivera.
2.Discussed finding a new meeting space for monthly meetings. Agreed to meet at Red
House Birth Care’s (Amy Miller’s) office next week. This week’s meeting was cut short
due to security guard not being available at Commission building.
Adjournment
Meeting was adjourned at 6:57 pm by Shadae Paul. The next meeting will be on 6/1522 at 6:00
pm. The following meeting will be held both on zoom and at Red House Birth Care.
