Meeting Agenda

Call to Order, Quorum call, Pledge of Allegiance President Jacob Demers

Reading and approval of the minutes of last meeting in September.
Old business
1. Regarding outreach, Teresa agreed to contact the Joint Veterans Committee
before the next meeting. In addition, Teresa will look for any previous
contact letters that we could use as a template for discussion at the next
meeting. This item was tabled from the September meeting.
2. Commissioner Cline to report back about putting the VAC on the County
Commissioners’ agenda to highlight the working of the VAC. This item was
tabled from the September meeting.
3. Discussion ensued about using the Washco Public Information Office (PIO)
to contact the VAC secretary about a press release. This item was not
addressed at the last meeting. Since Veterans’ Day is approaching, action is
needed on this item.
4. Krista Hart provided information about using GoogleDoc. The problem with
this approach is it is tied to individuals in the VAC and not a county wide
folder that would be easier to manage as the VAC changes personnel.
New business
1. Dan Plotner provided ideas for the brochure. See the attached email from
Dan. I received no additional ideas.
2. See the email about the Joint County Veteran Commission Leaders and
Veteran Services Specialist Program Liaison Summit (that’s a mouthful).
