Attendance: Zunny, Carlos, Orville Brown, Tiara, Mary Ellen Jeanine Salifou (must go to county
clerk to take oath), Terence Ngwa
1.Call to order and motion to open the meeting. Orville Brown made motion to open at 7:02
and seconded by Terence Ngwa
2.Approval of Agenda
3.Old Business
a.Approve November 2021 Meeting Minutes (Orville Brown made motion at 7:06
and Carlos seconded the motion at 7:06.
b.Follow up on Action Items
i.Google Drive and Minutes- Carlos- shared info
ii.County Zoom Account- Zunny- there is no zoom account for us. We will
keep using Terence’s zoom account. Does not have the webinar feature.
iii.Follow Up on Committee Appointments- Zunny
iv.Bylaws- MaryEllen and Carlos
1.Need a representative from the commissioners and we need to
reach back out to Melissa Williams.
4.New Business
a. Committee Structure
i.We need to actively recruit people to help us with this effort.
ii.We should revisit printing pamphlet request from commissioners.
1.Discussion of committee structure.
2.1-3 things we will do rather than try to do a little bit in every
priority..MAry Ellen
3.Jeanine having a strategic plan
4.Terence list of deliverables and timeline…
b.Brainstorm Activity: Next Steps Jamboard (imagine a virtual white board and
everyone can post post- it notes)
i.Carlos will post which will be divided by Bylaw Charge in a row, i.e. F.
Coordinate and promote ethnic festivals to add to the quality of excellence
the community enjoys through public performances.
ii.Everyone will have the ability to post their ideas under any of the topics
for ideas of one or two attainable goals.
1.This will be homework for the next meeting.
2.We need a list of stakeholders…
3.Carlos will reach out to WCPS for liaison…
