BOARD OF DIRECTORS MONTHLY MEETING
October 21, 2020- MEETING MINUTES
The Board of Directors held their monthly meeting Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Treasurer Jeff Semler called the
meeting to order at 4:00p.m.
ATTENDANCE:
Joe Layos, Dave Moore, Mike Starliper, Jeff Semler
Excused: Katie Carr, Dennis Reeder, Jay Miller
Staff in attendance: Jeff Cline- County Commissioner, Jamie Dick- Parks and Recreation Director, Dave Brooks- Parks
Supervisor, Erin Overdorff- Facility Administrator, Andrew Eshleman- Director of Public Works
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes were approved with a motion- quorum not present.
COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS
Commissioner Cline had certificates requested for Sue Harr and Martha Bowen. The certificates were from the
Board of Directors for both Sue and Marty’s dedication to the facility. The Board took photos with the certificates.
The certificates will be mailed to Sue and Marty.
FACILITIES ADMINISTRATOR REPORT
The POS project at the track is taking place for safety improvements. Fencing is installed and guardrails have been
moved for safety improvements. One track end foot traffic flow will also be created for spectators.
The POS project at the MP Kitchen is still underway. The air conditioning has been installed and remodeling will
happen in the fall/winter time frame. The building permit has been received.
We met with the MDKC to touch base on facility planning and partnerships.
Limited inside activities are taking place in the Multi Purpose building. Classes and meetings that are socially
distanced with strict COVID guidelines are looked at on a case by case basis.
The Steam and Craft Festival Show held at the facility went very well.

The stormwater pond work is complete.
Board of Directors appointments have not yet went to the BOCC for approval.
