WASHINGTON COUNTY PLUMBING & HVAC BOARD
MEETING MINUTES
November 4th, 2019
A&B CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Arnold Eby, Chairman, called the regular bi-monthly meeting of the Washington County
Plumbing/HVAC Board to order at 3:00 p.m. on November 4th, 2019 in Conference Room “A1” of the
Washington County Administrative Annex Building, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Board members present
were Brian Tana, Benjamin Ebersole, Gary Price, Michael Wathen, Charlie Semler, and Doug McKay.
Katie Rathvon from the Division of Plan Review and Permitting was also present.
MINUTES
The minutes for the September 9th, 2019 Plumbing/HVAC Board meeting were accepted as written.
NEW BUSINESS
1. PERMITTING & INSPECTION COMMENTS
• Katie Rathvon introduced herself to the Board before the meeting as the new clerk
to the board.
• Doug McKay advised the Board that the issue with Andrew Downs doing work
without a permit was rectified. Mr. Downs applied for and received the required
permits.
2. HEALTH DEPT. COMMENTS
• No representative from the Health Department was present for this meeting.
3. PLUMBING BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE FOR 2020
• The Board reviewed and accepted the submitted 2020 Plumbing & HVAC Board
meeting schedule was written.
4. TERM EXPIRATION
• The Board voted unanimously for Arnold Eby and Charlie Semler to remain on the
board and serve another 3-year term.
5. OPEN DISCUSSION
• No open discussion.
