HomeMy WebLinkAbout200202 - Minutes, Electrical BdWASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS MEETING MINUTES February 11, 2020 A&B CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Robert Kochera called the regular monthly meeting of the Washington County Electrical Board to order at 7:30 a.m. on February 11, 2020 in Conference Room “1A” of the Washington County Administrative Annex Building in Hagerstown, Maryland. Members present were Charlie Shindle, Terry Molnar, Steve Ryan and Daniel Sterling. Becky Gander and Tasha Shifflett, from the Division of Plan Review and Permitting. MINUTES The minutes for the January 14, 2020 Electrical Board meeting were accepted as written. OPEN SESSION NEW BUSINESS 1. PERMITTING COMMENTS • Becky Gander advised the permitting office has been busy and that 2020 is appearing to be a busy year. • She advised the Board that 2019 was 150-200 permits less than the total number of permits for 2018. 2. COMPLAINT FROM DLLR • Tasha Shifflett advised a complaint was received from DLLR concerning Kewel Khatta. • Tasha advised he holds an active Washington County master electrical license and has no violations or disciplinary actions against it. • Becky Gander advised she submitted a response to DLLR with the information they requested. • The Board agreed if the State of Maryland revokes his license, Mr. Khatta’s Washington County license would also get revoked due to reciprocating from the State of Maryland. WASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS 3. OPEN DISCUSSION • Tasha Shifflett advised there was no one scheduled to take the March 4th electrical exam. • Charlie Shindle asked if there is a way to enforce the ongoing issues with vehicle lettering as part of the license renewal process. • Becky Gander advised she will discuss this matter with Rich Eichelberger and ask that he remind his inspection staff to be more aware of the vehicles on the job site to ensure they are properly lettered. The meeting was adjourned at 8:16am
