HomeMy WebLinkAbout191210 - Minutes, Eletrical Bd WASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS MEETING MINUTES December 10, 2019 A&B CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Charlie Shindle called the regular monthly meeting of the Washington County Electrical Board to order at 7:30 a.m. on December 10, 2019 in Conference Room “1A” of the Washington County Administrative Annex Building in Hagerstown, Maryland. Members present were Daniel Sterling and Steve Ryan. Becky Gander and Tasha Shifflett, from the Division of Plan Review and Permitting. MINUTES The minutes for the November 12, 2019 Electrical Board meeting were accepted as written. OPEN SESSION NEW BUSINESS 1. PERMITTING COMMENTS • Becky Gander stated that the Board of Commissioners officially adopted the 2018 International Building and Trade Codes and Local Amendments on December 3, 2019. Implementation of the 2018 codes and local amendments will go into effect on March 1, 2020. • Becky Gander stated Will Tosten contacted the County Commissioners regarding the situation with his Electrical License. Becky advised she received a request from the County Attorney to provide the history regarding this situation and also received a request from Machelle Dwyer at the County Administrator’s office to provide any correspondence we had on this. 2. GRADING OF ELECTRICAL EXAM • Chad Eby-Master Exam-Failed 59% 3. APPLICANTS THAT WERE ISSUED AN ELECTRICAL LICENSE • Chris Anderisani EL-M-1798, Active Controls Electric, 901-509-7661 • Troy Ridenour, EL-M-1799, Troy’s Electric LLC, 240-382-5903 WASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS 4. OPEN DISCUSSION • Charlie Shindle advised he attended the MUELEC Board meeting. Robin with DLLR spoke regarding the reciprocation agreements and that an applicant must reciprocate from their original jurisdiction where they took the exam. • Becky Gander confirmed that Washington County follows the same reciprocal agreement. • Charlie Shindle also stated Robin with DLLR advised that jurisdictions who revoke or suspend a license must report that to the State. • Becky Gander confirmed that Washington County does report to the State any action taken against a Washington County Electrical License. 5. CLOSED SESSION • There were no items for discussion The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 a.m.
