HomeMy WebLinkAbout191112 - Minutes, Electrical Bd WASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS MEETING MINUTES November 12, 2019 A&B CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL Bob Kochera called the regular monthly meeting of the Washington County Electrical Board to order at 7:30 a.m. on November 12, 2019 in Conference Room “1A” of the Washington County Administrative Annex Building in Hagerstown, Maryland. Members present were Charlie Shindle, Daniel Sterling, and Steve Ryan. Becky Gander and Tasha Shifflett, from the Division of Plan Review and Permitting. MINUTES The minutes for the October 8, 2019 Electrical Board meeting were accepted as written. OPEN SESSION NEW BUSINESS 1. PERMITTING COMMENTS • Becky Gander stated Permitting Office has been busy for this time of year with building permits being applied for. • Becky Gander stated there are some vacant positions within the Division they are trying to get filled. Some due to retirement and others due to accepting jobs outside of the county. If approved, one of the positions would be a brand-new position that would merge some of the responsibilities of vacant positions as well as include new responsibilities for this position that would be similar to a liaison. 2. TERM EXPIRATION • Daniel Sterling provided a receipt showing he re-administered the oath of office to serve another term. 3. APPLICANTS SEEKING TO TAKE DECEMBER 4, 2019 EXAM • Chad Eby was approved to take the Master Electrical Exam. • Joe Pennington re-submitted his application to the Board and was denied again as he still has not provided proof showing where he worked under a Master Electrician for 3 years. Charlie Shindle stated he would be contacting Mr. Pennington. WASHINGTON COUNTY ELECTRICAL BOARD OF EXAMINERS & SUPERVISORS 4. APPLICANTS THAT WERE ISSUED AN ELECTRICAL LICENSE • Chris Anderisani EL-M-1798, Active Controls Electric, 901-509-7661 • Troy Ridenour, EL-M-1799, Troy’s Electric LLC, 240-382-5903 5. OPEN DISCUSSION • For the December 4, 2019 Exam, Steve Ryan will cover the first two hours and then Daniel Sterling will cover the next two hours. 6. CLOSED SESSION The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 a.m.
