MEETING MINUTES January 8, 2019 A&B CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Bob Kochera called the regular monthly meeting of the Washington County Electrical Board to order at 7:30 a.m. on January 8, 2019 in Conference Room “1A” of the Washington County Administrative Annex Building in Hagerstown, Maryland. Members present were Bob Kochera, Daniel Sterling, and
Charlie Shindle. Katie Rathvon from the Permitting Department was also present. MINUTES
The minutes for the December 11, 2018 Electrical Board meeting were accepted as written. OPEN SESSION OLD BUSINESS 1. REVIEW OF THE BY-LAWS
• Bob Kochera requested that this be tabled. 2. RESTRICTED LICENSE - R8
• At last month’s meeting, there was discussion regarding Mr. Tosten’s electrical license and it was decided that a letter be sent to Mr. Tosten informing him of the board’s decision on converting his restricted license to a master license. The letter created by Charlie Shindle was presented to the board and Bob Kochera felt the first paragraph
should be revised. Bob Kochera will revise the letter and submit to Katie Rathvon for processing and mailing. NEW BUSINESS 1. PERMITTING COMMENTS
• Becky Gander was unable to attend the meeting.
• Bob Kochera mentioned to the board that Becky Grander had sent an email to the Board members asking who all needed a 2017 NEC code book as the code adoption process is starting. The board members stated they all had one but would like for the Permitting Office to keep one on hand in case there was a need to use it rather than each board member bring theirs to the meeting.
