Both sections have gable roofs, 6 over 6 sash windows and a front portico. The rear portion of the building has an interior stone chimney and is presently sheathed with asbestos shingles. The building is an example of a 19`" century vernacular fannhouse and is eligible under National Register of Historic Places Criterion C. Extending to the rear forming an ell is a two story, three bay shingle sided section, poseibly of log constrcution. It has a two story porch along its south elevation. This wooden back section may predate the front, brick part of the house. Inside its former ease end wall at the jointure of brick and wood °sections is a stone chimney which was later raised in height,. The front section would appear to date from the mid 19th century. It has six over six win= doors and a central entrance which includes a transom and sidelights with diamond shaped panes. The house is now part of a large orchard complex.
