HomeMy WebLinkAbout980126 January 26, 1998 Hagerstown, Maryland JOINT PUBLIC HEARING - REZONING AMENDMENTS RZ-96-4.1, RZ-96-5.1, RZ-98-002 & RZ-98-001 A Joint Public Hearing of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County and the Washington County Planning Commission was convened in Court Room No. l at 7:00 p.m. to hear testimony and receive evidence regarding rezoning cases RZ-96-4.1, RZ-96-5.1, RZ-98-002, and RZ-98-001. Presiding at the hearing were County Commissioners President Gregory I. Snook and Planning Commission Chairman Bertrand Iseminger. Also present at the hearing were County Commissioners John S. Shank and R. Lee Downey. (Commissioner Ronald L. Bowers arrived at 7:35 p.m. and Commissioner James R. Wade arrived at 8:00 p.m.). Planning Commission members Donald Ardinger, Paula Lampton, Robert Ernst, and Ben Clopper were in attendance. Robert Arch, Director of Planning & Community Development reviewed the amendments made to comprehensive rezoning cases RZ-96-4.1 (I-81 and Maryland Rt. 58 and Maugansville Road) and RZ-96-5.1 (I-70 and Maryland Rt. 68), which were originally heard at public hearing on October 28, 1996. Staff members Lisa Kelly Pietro, Timothy Lung, and Stephen Goodrich presented staff reports on the rezoning cases. After presentations and testimony for each case was heard, it was announced that the record will remain open for ten (l0) days to allow additional testimony to be submitted in writing. The hearing was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
