HomeMy WebLinkAbout12.11.1986December 11, 1986 A Special Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County was called to order at 1:45 p.m. by the President Ronald L. Bowers with the following members present: Vice President Richard E. Roulette and Commissioners R. Lee Downey, Linda C. Irvin and Martin L. Snook. ADOPT RESOLUTION - SANITARY COMMISSION BOND ISSUE Motion made by Commissioner Roulette, seconded by Snook to adopt a Resolution concurring in the passage and adoption of a Resolution heretofore passed by Washington County Sanitary Commission authorizing the issuance and sale of $5,030,000 Washington County Sanitary District Project and Refunding Bonds, Series D, said bonds to be issued on the full faith and credit of County Commissioners of Washington County; convenanting to impose ad valorem taxes in rate and amount sufficient to pay the interest when due and the principal at maturity of said bonds if such principal and interest is not paid from special benefit assessments and service charges, all as more particularly provided in the aforesaid Resolution passed by Washington County Sanitary Commission; pledging the full faith and credit and unlimited taxing power of County Commissioners of Washington County, as the security for the payment of said bonds; approving and authorizing execution and delivery of a Contract of Purchase among the Washington County Sanitary Commission, County Commisisoners of Washington County and Baker, Watts & Co. for the purchase of said bonds; and approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of an Official Statement and the distribution of a preliminary Official Statement pertaining to said bonds.
