Minutes of Gaming Commission
Meeting held virtually via Zoom.
February 22, 2024
Members Present via Zoom: Matt Schnebley - Chair, Mike Hansen - Vice Chair, Marilee Kerns,
Dawn Wintermoyer and Selena Wilkes
Staff present via Zoom: Director Rachel Souders and Julie Mackereth
I. Opening — Welcome
Matt Schnebley -Chair called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m.
II. Citizens Participation
None scheduled.
III. Approval of Minutes: November 3, 2023
A motion was made by Mike Hansen; seconded by Marilee Kerns to approve,
November 3, 2023, minutes as written; motion approved.
IV. Financial Report
Director Souders reviewed the FY2024 Gaming Fund Financial Report. She reported, to date
gaming revenue is down 6.19% from this time last year.
V. Director's Comments
Director Souders shared; the committee have received thank you notes from some of the
organizations that were awarded allocations last year.

VII. New Business
• Review and approval of 2024 Gaming Fund Application documents —
Director Souders reviewed the Gaming grant guidelines and checklist information provided
in each commissioner's email packet. She shared, the application will be released April 1st
and will be due in this office by 3pm on May 2nd
Rachel asked the commissioners in additions to the submitted electronic copies of the
applications how many would like a hard copy as well; she asks the committee to inform
her if they have any potential conflicts where they may be a board member or have a
direct relationship with a non-profit. This information will assist staff when distributing
applications to committee members for review.
• Rachel announced and welcomed the two new committee members Selena Wilkes and
Paul Crampton, Jr.
• Reaffirm Meeting Dates — Dates confirmed and agreed on by all committee members.
➢ Thursday, May 9, 2024 @ 3:00 pm. — Application Distribution
➢ Thursday, June 13, 2024, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. — Funding Hearings/Organizations
presenting.
➢ Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm. — Funding Workshop /Allocations
➢ August TBD — Report to County Commissioners

Director Souders thanked the Gaming Commissioners for their time and effort.

XI. Adjournment
A motion to adjourn was made by Mike Hansen; seconded by Selena Wilkes for
adjournment: so, moved, meeting adjourned at 3:25p.rn.
