Meeting Minutes
December 10, 2020
Members present via conference call/zoom: Alan Mullendore, Jadah Swartz, Lee Downey,
Brenna Ranieli and Mary Towe
Staff present via conference call/zoom: Susan Buchanan, Stephanie Lapole and Julie Mackereth
I. Opening - Welcome
• Susan called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. She welcomed everyone.
II. Approval of Minutes
• A motion was mode by Lee Downey; seconded by Jodoh Swartz to approve
October 14,2020 minutes as written: motion approved
III. Citizen Participation
• No citizens participating
IV. Receipt of Communications
• No new communications received.
V. Report of Chairperson
• Susan reported, we received 38 applications from 35 organizations requesting a
total of 1.2 million for funding. The committee has $774.000 to be allocated,

cutting the request by $489,000. The number of applications is down slightly
from previous years.
• Susan informed, there are 2 new applicants: TruNorth-substance abuse recovery
house that works with the day reporting center and BEACON House a STEM
educational program with focus on children.

VII. New Business
Distribution of COF Applications Received — Susan informed, members will
receive copies of all applications submitted along with scoring sheets for each
organization. Hard copies are in their boxes along with the binder for pick up.
Due to COVID 19 our office is still closed to the public. Committee members
were asked to call the office prior to pick up to schedule a time.
• Review COF Binder Information — Susan informed, a copy of the guidelines,
application requirements, worksheet, FY21 recommendations, summaries and
history are included in the binders. On December 11, she will be emailing all
committee members the electronic application and spreadsheet that was
received from each organization that applied.
• Review and allocation process discussion — Susan requested if a member needs
to recuse themselves from any application discussion, to write recuse on the
score sheet for that organization.

February 4, 2021— 8:30 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. (+/-)

Mary Towe motioned; seconded by Alan Mullendore; to adjourn the meeting;
motion approved @ 3:54 p.m.
Next Meeting Dates:
January 21, 2021— Completed Scoresheets are due by 4:00p.m.
February 4, 2021— COF Funding Workshop @ 8:30 a.m.
