MEETING MINUTES May 11, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
Charlie Shindle called the regular monthly meeting of the Washington County Electrical Board to order
at 7:31 a.m. on May 11, 2021 located at Hagerstown Light Department. Members present were Charlie Shindle, Danny Sterling, Steve Ryan and Terry Molnar. Chrysta Hays and Brittany Young, from the Division of Plan Review and Permitting.
MINUTES – CORRECTIONS/APPROVAL The minutes for the April 13, 2021 Electrical Board meeting were accepted as written. Steve Ryan made the motion to approve, Danny Sterling seconded the motion. OPEN SESSION OLD BUSINESS 1. EXAM APPLICATION FOR REVIEW
• Merle Vaughn – approved to take Restricted Electrical Exam at Hagerstown Light Department on June 2, 2021 at 8:00 AM. Robert Kochera advised he will proctor the first shift. Danny Sterling advised he volunteers to
proctor the second shift. NEW BUSINESS 1. PERMITTING COMMENTS
• Chrysta Hays advised that Becky Gander is out on medical leave for an undetermined time. Permitting office has remained very busy.
• Chrysta Hays advised that the Washington County Annex employees back to the office May 17, 2021. Still closed to public.

3. OPEN DISCUSSION
• MUELEC Board meeting on May 19, 2021. Charlie Shindle to attend. Chrysta to send
email to remind of meeting.
• Chrysta Hays advised the Board to submit receipts for extension of terms.
• Charlie Shindle inquired about the policy for new electrical license application and renewals and Chrysta advised the board on the policies (from State or reciprocal license) within Washington County.

• No closed discussion
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 AM by Charlie Shindle and seconded by Steve Ryan.
