Bowers, and Commissioners Linda C. Irvin-Craig, John S. Shank, and Gregory I. Snook. BOARD/COMMISSION REPORTS Commissioner Snook reported on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee's trip to Pittsburgh to tour a recycling facility, and Commissioner Irvin-Craig reported on the Transportation Commission Meeting. RENTAL ALLOWANCE PROGRAM APPLICATION Motion made by Commissioner Shank, seconded by Snook, to approve submittal of the Local Program Application for the Rental Allowance Program in the amount of $6l,020 to the State Housing office. Unanimously approved. APPLICATION FOR HOUSING VOUCHERS FOR THE HOMELESS Motion made by Commissioner Shank, seconded by Bowers to approve the application from Housing & Community Development to the Department of Housing & Urban Development for an additional 20 vouchers to assist the Homeless Program. Unanimously approved. CONVENE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion made by Commissioner Shank, seconded by Irvin-Craig, to convene in Executive Session at 3:20 p.m. in regard to personnel, property and to confer with the County Attorney, in accordance with Section l0.508 of the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Unanimously approved. RECONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION Motion made by Commissioner Irvin-Craig, seconded by Bowers, to reconvene in Regular Session at 5:05 p.m. Unanimously approved. AUGUST 8, 1991 MINUTES, CONT'D. EMPLOY - ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY - HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Motion made by Commissioner Shank, seconded by Snook, to employ Kathleen Sterling as Administrative Secretary in the Housing & Community Development Office to fill an existing vacancy. Unanimously approved. EMPLOY - PROJECT MANAGER Motion made by Commissioner Bowers, seconded by Shank, to employ Steven Spalding as Project Manager as a contractual employee at an hourly rate of $l4.00/hour. Unanimously approved. EMPLOY - TEMPORARY MAINTENANCE LABORER - HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT Motion made by Commissioner Snook, seconded by Bowers, to employ Richard L. Maloy as Temporary Maintenance Laborer in the Housing & Community Development Office. Unanimously approved.
