Washington Street, Room 2200 Hagerstown, MD 21740 Minutes of Gaming Commission Zoom/Conference Call Meeting February 24, 2022 Members Present via zoom/conference call: Kay Hoffman - Chair, Sam Cool, Vice Chair, Brandy Osborne, Mike Hansen, Debbie Reeser and Matt Schnebley Members Absent: None Staff present via zoom/conference call: Susan Buchanan, Rachel Souders, and Julie Mackereth I. Opening a Welcome Kay Hoffman - Chair called the meeting to order at 3:01 p.m. She welcomed everyone and introduced new committee members Debbie Reeser and Matt Schnebley II. Citizens Participation None scheduled III. Approval of Minutes : October 27, 2021 A motion was made by Brandy Osborne; seconded by Sam Cool to approve October 27, 2021 minutes as written: motion approved IV. Financial Report Director Buchanan reviewed the FY2022 Gaming Fund Financial Report that was emailed to each commissioner. The report reflects a small dip in funding revenue for February. The mid — year January disbursement of $565,192.92 was made to the Washington County Fire & Rescue Association. The association will receive one more disbursement at the end of the fiscal year. V. Old Business • None VII. New Business Review and approval of 2022 Gaming Fund Application Packet - Director Buchanan reviewed the packet included in each commissioner's email. She informed, the gaming application is the same as last years. Additional wording to question # 10 will include if an organization received ARPA funding. Commissioner Hoffman suggested adding to question #18, the most recent year gaming grant was received. Susan asked how many commissioners wanted paper copies of the applications as well as electronic. Four commissioners requested to have paper copies. Susan will modify the guidelines requiring the organizations to provide 1 original and 4 copies of their application. • Reaffirm Meeting dates. Thursday, May 12,2022 � 3:00 p.m. —Application Distribution and Instruction Thursday, June 16,2022 C� 8:30 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. - Funding Hearings — In person — 100 West Washington Street. 2nd FL. Room #2200 Zoom will be available for any Gaming Commissioner who is unable to attend.
