Minutes of Gaming Commission
October 27, 2021
Members Present via Zoom: Brandy Osborne Vice -Chair, Sam Cool, Mike Hansen and Leon Debes
Members Absent: Kay Hoffman — Chair
Staff present via Zoom: Susan Buchanan, Rachel Souders and Julie Mackereth
I. Opening — Welcome
Brandy Osborne Vice -Chair called the meeting to order at 12:02p.m.
II. Citizens Participation
None scheduled
III. Approval of Minutes : July 21, 2021
A motion was made by Leon Debes; seconded by Mike Hansen to approve
July 21, 2021 minutes as written: motion approved
IV. Financial Report
Director Buchanan reviewed the FY2021 Gaming Fund Financial Report that was included in
each commissioner's email packet. She reported, to date revenue is up 24.06%, which is
higher than last year at this time.
V. Director's Comments
Director Buchanan shared, thank you notes from organizations that received FY21 gaming
funds. Susan reported, David Kline has resigned as a Gaming Commissioner. She asked the
committee if they know of anyone who may be interested in being a Gaming Commissioner
to send her their name and contact information.

VII. New Business
• Election of Officers:
Nomination of Chairperson - Brandy Osborne nominated Kay Hoffman, seconded by Sam
Cool. There were no other nominations.
By unanimous vote, the Commissioner's elected Kay Hoffman to a second term as
Chairperson for the Gaming Commission 2020-2021 term.
Director Buchanan spoke with Kay Hoffman (via phone) after the meeting. Kay accepted
the nomination and to serve a second term as Chair.
Nomination of Vice -Chairperson — Brandy Osborne nominated Sam Cool, seconded by
Leon Debes. There were no other nomnations. Sam accepted the nomination.
By consensus vote, the Commissioner's elected Sam Cool as Vice -Chairperson for the
Gaming Commission 2020-2021 term.
Sam Cool abstained from voting.
Sam Cool newly elected Vice -Chair took over the meeting, he turned it over to
Director Buchanan. Susan reviewed the upcoming meeting dates for 2021-2022 term.

VIII. Commissioner's Comments — Director Buchanan asked each commissioner present for
comments.
XI. Adjournment
A motion to adjourn was made by Sam Cooll seconded by Brandy Osborne for
Adjournment; so moved, meeting adjourned at 12:15 p.m.
