A workshop meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of
Washington County, Maryland, was called to order at 8:00 a.m. by
President Gregory I. Snook with the following members present:
Vice President Paul L. Swartz and Commissioners Bertrand L.
Iseminger, Jr., John L. Schnebly, and William J. Wivell.
BUDGET WORKSHOP - GENERAL FUND BUDGET
The Commissioners conducted a budget workshop to review a draft
of the Fiscal Year 2002 General Fund budget. Debra Bastian,
Director of Finance, stated that the projected revenues were
presented at the meeting on March 6. She then reviewed a
summary of changes. The Commissioners reviewed and discussed
the proposed operating budget and prioritized requests of the
Board of Education for FY 2002. They also reviewed the budget
requests for Hagerstown Community College, the Health
Department, Department of Social Services, non-profit agencies,
and the debt service projections.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion made by Commissioner Iseminger, seconded by Swartz, to
adjourn at 10:50 a.m. Unanimously approved.
