AGENDA
1. Review of Disability Advisory Committee by-laws
a. Committee must comprise 9 voting and 2 non-voting members
2. Review of current membership
a. Members with expired terms - Amanda Destefano, Heidi Kendall,
Linda Kline, Randy Samu and Troy Van Scoyoc. Active members who
wish to continue need to submit an application for membership.
b. There is currently a need for 4 to 5 more Disability Committee
members.
c. Angie will update the Google drive folder with Disability
Committee applicants. We will discuss candidates at the October
2021 meeting and make our recommendations to County Commissioners.
Quorum is 51%.
d. Officers will be voted on when membership has been settled.
3. Sensory Friendly Concert: Angie is in contact with Executive Director of
Maryland Symphony, Jonathan Perish. More information to come.
4. Social media - To follow-up with Dave during the October 2021 meeting.
5. Interpreters at school board meetings
a. Kris reports that ASL interpreters have been present for Board of
Education meetings recently. Interpreters are to be present in the
future, in person or toward Zoom participants.
6. Health Department grant to host Spring 2022 outdoor disability event.
Planning should begin shortly.
