ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

ATTENDING:

CALL TO ORDER:
Brock opened the meeting at 1700 hours.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Rebecca made a motion to approve the agenda. Dennis seconded the motion.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Merle made a motion to approve the minutes. Randall seconded the motion.
CHAIR REPORT:
Introduced new member Randall Morin.
NEW BUSINESS: N/A
OLD BUSINESS:
a. Landfill Alternatives: Ben Parry with Compost Crew gave presentation on
Composting marketing/feasibility. PowerPoint to be posted on Committee Member
google drive.
b. Bylaw Amendment Update: Submitted and reformatted, standing by for
Commissioner Approval.
c. Update on Septic Rebate Program: The new plan is to do an educational
program/social media campaign for the first year. Dan will get and keep Committee
involved/updated. Brock requested plac ing the Septic Rebate Program on the
upcoming agendas for updates by Dan DiVito.
d. Term Limits: Dennis and Rebecca would both like to serve another term. Consensus
from Committee to renew terms.
COMMITTEE COMMENTS/SUGGESTIONS:
Randall made a motion to set up a trip to Eastern Shore Pelletizing facility. Rebecca seconded
the motion.
ADJOURN:
Merle moved to adjourn the meeting, Dennis seconded the motion. Meeting Adjourned.
The next meeting will be held October 23, 2019 at 5:00 pm. The location of this meeting will
be at Washington County Division of Environmental Management (DEM), Public Meeting
